Christmas Events

There are a couple of exciting things going on this Christmas weekend.
CHRISTMAS EVE
Saturday, December 24, at 6:30 pm, we will be having a Candlelight  Service.  The service will be about 45 minutes, it will include singing some Christmas Carols, some scripture readings, and a short devotion before communion.  The service will show how Jesus is the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament.

CHRISTMAS MORNING
Sunday, December 25, at 10:00 am, we will be having our regular morning worship, but since Christmas is on a Sunday this year, we wanted to make this service just a little different.  We will wrap the importance of Jesus' Birth with songs, scriptures, communion, and devotional thoughts.

Both services will be a great way to help you and your family keep the true meaning of Christmas at the forefront of your Christmas celebration.  Everyone is invited to join us for this most wonderful time of the year!

Come and See "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe"

Hi Guys!
For the past few months, the cast of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe have been working diligently to get their play performance ready.  I'm happy to say that it looks amazing.  The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe tells of the journey of four children when they discover the mystical land of Narnia.  They are set on a quest to save Narnia from the evil White Witch, and along the way meet the Great Lion, Aslan.
On the Friday night performance, we had a full house.  Now there is only one more chance to see the play: Sunday morning at 10:00.  We hope to see you there!

911 Song

On September 11th this year, we remembered with the rest of theTwin Towers & Cross United States, the terrorist attacks that happened 10 years before.

We talked about the lessons that we have learned in light of 911 and the years after.  The main points were:

  • There Is No Such Thing As Earthly Security – But God Does Give Us Security
  • People Often Come to God in Times of Trouble – We Have to Love and Show Our Faith Gently to Them.
  • God Does Help Us In Times of Trouble – God Did Some Miraculous Things On 911.

At the end of the sermon, we played a song that had segments of some of the speeches from President Bush inserted.  I thought it was a good idea to include the lyrics here, so you could see them and understand what a powerful song it is.

God is in Control
Performed by Twila Paris

This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith and determination911cross_sm
Don't lose the vision here
Carried away by emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control

History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh, but the line never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever
He has never let you down
Why start to worry now?
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me

watching over you...watching over me..
watching over every things..
watching over you..watching over me..
every little sparrow..every little things...

God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control
